How do you put on a play?  What is opening night?  Children grades K-5 will journey through a fun and educational experience when they meet the colorful characters that work together to make it all happen.  Meet the eccentric playwright, the frazzled stage manager, the overbearing producer, the lovable box office manager, and the grumpy director as they show children just what is involved in transforming a play into a staged production.  When this eccentric theatrical team becomes the ensemble in the show they are producing, children will discover the character types in the theatre world that are the foundation for any play.  They’ll learn about plot, setting, conflict, and resolution by meeting the Leading Lady, Confidante, Leading Man, and of course…the Villain!  Find out the basics of what is involved in the magical, sometimes frantic, but always fun process of transforming a play into a stage production.  Don’t miss the show that came right From The Page…To The Stage.

This play touches on the age old question, “What if Beethoven met a modern day rapper?”  Integrating the similarities between classical and modern music children will gain an appreciation for classical music while discovering that things have not changed so much after all. 

This show will be made available to grades 3-6.
