Hilarious Scripts

We write our own comedy shows specifically tailored to our performers’ strengths as well as to our audience base.  Occasionally we do swap scripts with our sister company in West Virginia when they fit with the dynamic of our group, but we write most of the shows you'll see.  Some companies use scripts that have been written and farmed out by writers from other locations,  making it difficult to always have characters that fit a particular ensemble's unique abilities.  We know what works because we have been performing, directing and writing mysteries and interactive theater for over 15 years.

 

Professionally Trained Talent

We take great pride in our tight ensemble of professional actors: most of whom have been in the business for years.  All of our actors are improvisational artists.  And many are accomplished musical theater performers as well (which helps with all the song parodies present in a majority of our shows). We do use a relatively small group of talented professionals, which allows for a strong ensemble feel.  Our actors know and have worked with one another…a lot!  And in comedy, nothing beats the chemistry of a strong ensemble.

 

State of the Art Sound System

We are constantly upgrading our shows, equipment, and the quality of our patrons’ experience.  Maintaining high production values concerning our costumes, props, and music are of the utmost priority to us.  To that end, we currently use a Sennheiser wireless microphone system which we frequently combine with a Bose Tower Speaker.  This allows for maximum sound quality with relatively small spacing requirements. And as we like to say, "A joke isn't funny if you can't hear it."  Although this means that we can easily perform for much larger groups, due to the interactive nature of our shows, we still prefer to keep our audiences at around 150.
 

Business and Personal Ethics

Of course we are in business to make money, but we will never sacrifice our integrity to make a few bucks.  Our mysteries are aptly rated as PG-13 (with a few scripts that are completely family friendly).  However, we strongly believe in keeping everything as clean as possible.  Though some of our shows may have some suggestive dialogue or a provocative character or two, we will never stoop to being crass or grotesque.  Likewise, the language in our shows will never exceed the language found on any prime-time television program.  We strongly believe that first-rate humor doesn’t have to be objectionable humor.

 

We Know What Works

Having performed interactive comedy for more than a decade with shows such as: Tony and Tina’s Wedding, Joey and Maria’s Comedy Italian Wedding, Flanagan’s Wake and a number of mystery dinner shows, we’ve learned first hand what works and equally what does not.  Likewise our years of experience working alongside food service people allows for a smooth show for patrons as well as waitering or catering staff.  We know that a pleasant working relationship with the servers will make for a better evening for the guests as well.

 

And We’re Constantly Evolving!
   

¨     We are continually writing new shows, not just resting on our laurels.  And, all of the shows we have listed are available for us to perform.  If it’s on our website, it’s currently available (with the exception of Christmas and Halloween shows, of course).

 

¨    We perform regularly at a number of restaurants throughout Western PA as well as performing for private parties and corporate events and have gained a reputation for high quality, comedic dinner theater at a reasonable price.  We believe that this is because we truly care about what we do, and we are never willing to settle for anything second rate.
